Our watch may have ended with HBO’s uber-popular Game of Thrones series airing its final episode (S8 E6 “A Dream of Spring Time”) last night but the show’s swansong was far from overlooked.

HBO
The conclusion to George R.R. Martin’s sprawling epic fantasy garnered 19.3 million viewers across a combination of HBO, HBO Go, and HBO NOW platforms, which surpassed the previous high set by last week’s episode, S8E5 “The Bells”.
According to HBO, the 9PM EST Game of Thrones was the single most watched telecast ever on HBO with 13.6 million viewers — surpassing the previous record holder, The Sopranos (13.4 million).
