Star Wars: The Knights of Ren have returned

Disney releases a slew of new images for episode IX.

Thursday morning was an exciting day for Star Wars fans with the surprise release of sixteen new photos in Vanity Fair, showcasing the most extensive look yet at Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

It was a little over a month ago we got our first teaser trailer for Episode IX, during Star Wars Celebration in Chicago, and ever since then the hype train has been full steam ahead. Vanity Fair’s article pulls the curtain back even further, giving fans a look at never before seen images of Rey, Kylo, Finn, Poe, General Hux, Kerri Russels character Zorri Bliss, several new aliens, and most importantly of all, The Knights of Ren.

Fans have been asking about the mysterious Knights of Ren since they were first glimpsed four years ago in The Force Awakens. During a vision Rey experienced when she first touched Luke’s lightsaber, we witnessed six of the knights surrounding Kyle Ren in the rain on an unidentified planet, surrounded by slaughtered bodies. Since that time no further details have emerged on their identities, whereabouts, or abilities. Thus there was widespread disappointment when they failed to make an appearance in The Last Jedi, and fans have been pining to know if they will be making an appearance in The Rise of Skywalker.

So for today’s reveal to include The Knights of Ren, is a truly huge moment for Star Wars fans everywhere. Feast your eyes on the first look at this deadly group of armored warriors below.
