Vanessa Hudgens in running for Catwoman role in Matt Reeves’ ‘The Batman’

Could Vanessa Hudgens be the Catwoman to Robert Pattinson’s Batman?

Fresh off the news that Robert Pattinson is in negotiations to play the titular hero in Matt Reeves’ The Batman, another integral casting prospect has been revealed: Vanessa Hudgens as Selina Kyle AKA Catwoman.

Hudgens, best known for her roles in High School Musical, Zack Snyder’s Sucker Punch, Spring Breakers and more recently DC Universe series Powerless and Netflix assassin movie Polar was specified as a strong possibility for the infamous cat burglar’s role on The BYO Show, who reported the Pattinson as Batman news back in January.

While Catwoman has played an enormous role in Tom King’s current Batman run, with she and Batman’s wedding shaking up the internet and beyond, it’s not yet known which interpretation of the character will be explored in the upcoming Reeves-helmed film.

Other possible candidates rumored to be joining Pattison and Hudgens in The Batman are Richard E. Grant (Logan) as Alfred Pennyworth, Jason Clarke (John Connor from Terminator: Genisys, Malcolm in Reeves’ Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) as Thomas Wayne, Kerri Russell (The Americans, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) as Martha Wayne, Josh Gad (Beauty and the Beast) as the Penguin, Toby Kebbell (Kong: Skull Island) as the Scarecrow and Theo Rossi (Juice from Sons of Anarchy) as Bane.

What do you think of this potential casting for The Batman? Sound off in the comments.
