Tom King, the author behind Batman, Mister Miracle, Heroes in Crisis and more has won an Eisner for Best Writer at this year’s awards ceremony, hosted at San Diego Comic Con 2019. This should come as little surprise to most comics readers, or those following the Eisner nomination and award process, as King is this year’s most nominated creator with five discreet noms for: Best Writer, Best Short Story, Best Continuing Series, Best Limited Series, and Best Graphic Album Reprint.
