Writer Tom King and artist Mitch Gerads’ DC Comics title, Mister Miracle, has picked up the award for Best Limited Series at tonight’s Eisner Awards ceremony hosted at San Diego Comic Con 2019. This was the most nominated series of the ceremony, also nominated for Best Writer (King), Best Penciller/Inker (Gerads), and Best Cover Artist for Multiple Covers (Nick Derington). It was up against Batman: White Knight, Eternity Girl, Exit Stage Left: The Snagglepuss Chronicles, and X-Men: Grand Design in the category.

The announcement was the third win for King, who is the most nominated creator of this year’s ceremonies following Best Writer, and Best Short Story. It was also the second for Mitch Gerads, who previously won the Best Penciller/Inker award for his work on Mister Miracle. Observant readers will note that, per the image above, these are not the first wins for the series or these creators, who also won at the 2018 ceremony.
