Spoilers ahead. You’ve been warned.
The Guardians of the Galaxy have faced all kinds of threats, some of which even gods can’t defeat, but Star-Lord has never faced something quite this despicable. In the latest issue out today, Donny Cates and Cory Smith lay out a threat that swallows up a whole lot of Nova Corps according to Peter Quill’s father. It’s not long in the transmission that things turn even worse.
Teary-eyed and ready for a fight, Peter sets course to save his dad. Obviously, Star-Lord is letting his emotions get the better of him, but with the team he has he can’t lose, right?
Sadly whatever this thing is it controls minds (and weirdly makes them say, “Faith”) and soon Star-Lord is on his knees.
What kind of villain could so easily take out all these heroes?
Holy crap, Star-Lord’s dad appears to be brainwashed, but he’s also the leader. Was it all a ruse? What is going on? Who can save them!?
