WWE 2K20 cover stars revealed in first trailer

2K’s new trailer appears to confirm its new cover stars. Yes, ‘stars.’

2K Games released the first trailer for WWE 2K20, the upcoming next installment in the long-running yearly series. You can watch the trailer above.

The trailer features a mix of WWE Legends and current Superstars at a party at some sort of mansion, until Becky Lynch crashes the party — literally, by breaking through the ceiling. After she apologizes to Hulk Hogan, “The Man” and Roman Reigns have a brief staredown, before some brief gameplay clips are shown.

We are then shown via the splash graphic at the end that Roman Reigns and Becky Lynch will grace the cover of WWE 2K20. This is a departure from the past almost decade of the series, where only one person made the cover. This will also make Lynch the first woman to appear on a WWE video game cover since Torrie Wilson all the way back on SmackDown vs. RAW 2007.

While no official release date has been given yet, WWE 2K20 is expected to drop in October on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. It will likely be ported to PC later in the year, and there have been unconfirmed rumors that 2K20 will be ported to Nintendo Switch as well.
