Lewinsky gained notoriety during Clinton’s presidency when she became infamous for having an affair with the president. This past March, Lewinsky appeared on John Oliver’s HBO series Last Week Tonight to discuss the topic of public shaming. Lewinsky explained how her private life was violated during the trial. She also had a chance to reveal more about who she was as an individual outside of the scandal.

Impeachment: American Crime Story will star Sarah Paulson as Linda Tripp and Beanie Feldstein as Monica Lewinsky. Both Paulson and Feldstein are no strangers to the FX network. Paulson has appeared in several seasons of American Horror Story and the first season of American Crime Story and Feldstein was recently on What We Do in the Shadows.
