After teasing fans for the last several weeks, FX gave in today and released the first official full-length trailer for American Horror Story: 1984.
American Horror Story: 1984 is the ninth season of FX’s wildly popular anthology horror series that will see a crazed knife wielding psychopath stalking and murdering teens at a summer camp, circa 1984. Not a story that’s ever been told on film in horror before right?
The newest season’s cast includes Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Leslie Grossman, Cody Fern, Matthew Morrison, Angelica Ross, Gus Kenworthy, DeRon Horton, Zach Villa and John Carroll Lynch. Fan favorite Sarah Paulson will be present as well, though in a smaller role that she usually has due to her commitments to Netflix’s series, Ratched — which shares the same creator as AHS — Ryan Murphy.
This marks the first season that Evan Peters, another fan-favorite and staple of the franchise, won’t be appearing.
American Horror Story: 1984 premieres Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 10 p.m. EST on FX.
