DC UNIVERSE is asking fans to help them develop their next TV series. Through a partnership with Ideas United, the new initiative, DCYou Unscripted, invites fans to participate in a competition where they can submit their unscripted ideas for a TV series about characters from the DC Universe.

The announcement came during a DC press event at New York Comic Con Thursday night. In attendance was Abe Mohammadione, Vice President of Creative & Production for Ideas United.
“Working with DC UNIVERSE allows us to highlight the tremendous talent of the next generation of creatives and give them an unbelievable opportunity to share their ideas with the world,” said Mohammadione. “We are thrilled to embark on this journey with the team at Warner Bros. Digital Networks and can’t wait to explore all the ideas and concepts submitted, meet and mentor emerging talent, produce pilots and a series, and capture all the behind-the-scenes action from the first submission to the final premier.”
Fans can submit their entries now until November 18. The top 10 entrants chosen by the judges, which includes Chief Creative Officer Jim Lee, will be flown to Los Angeles to pitch their ideas to DC executives until the group is narrowed down to three finalists. Ideas United will help the finalists produce unscripted pilots, until the winning entrant is chosen. DC hopes to see the series on DC UNIVERSE sometime in Fall 2020.
“The DC UNIVERSE mission is to create a place for fans to dive deeper and express their fandom and this is a continuation of that aim,” said DC UNIVERSE Senior Vice President and General Manager, Sam Ades. “As we head into our second year we’re excited about this new initiative – empowering fans to bring their unique and diverse voices to DC Universe in this very ambitious way.”
