BroserWeights win 2020 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic

Matt Riddle & Pete Dunne sign their names in the history books.

Wednesday night on the latest episode of WWE’s NXT Matt Riddle and Pete Dunne, aka The BroserWeights, defeated Zack Gibson and James Drake, The Grizzled Young Veterans, to become the winners of the 2020 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament.

Riddle and Dunne’s victory has earned them the Dusty Classic trophy, a place in the NXT history books, and a title shot against the NXT Tag Team Champions, Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish of The Undisputed Era.

The BroserWeights will face The Undisputed Era for the NXT Tag Team Titles at the upcoming NXT PPV, TakeOver: Portland.

Riddle and Dunne are now the fifth team to win the Dusty Rhodes Classic. Their names have been added to the list of winners alongside the teams who have won the previous year’s tournaments:

2015: Samoa Joe & Finn Balor
2016: The Authors of Pain (Akam and Rezar)
2017: No tournament held
2018: The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole & Kyle O’Reilly)
2019: Aleister Black & Ricochet

Triple H took to Twitter to congratulate the BroserWeights.
