After suffering a severe beat down at the hands of Randy Orton this week on Monday Night Raw, Matt Hardy has tweeted yet another reference that seems to point to his rumored debut on AEW Dynamite sometime in the near future. Taking to Twitter, Hardy posted that “Against Every Warning” (get it?), he showed up on Raw to take on Orton this week but was handily beaten.
Against Every Warning, with serious head/neck injuries, I showed up on #RAW to face & fight RKO.
I was brutally beaten & suffered multiple injuries. But I’m alive. I’m not sure what’s next. If this was my @WWE goodbye, I didn’t get what I deserved-But maybe I got what I needed. pic.twitter.com/Bzh1Ot4fcU

A telling case of capitalization, especially when taken with Hardy referencing only his WWE exit — not a retirement from professional wrestling — as well as the ongoing Dark Order angle at AEW, where the stable’s leader, Evil Uno, has been heralding the debut of the “Exalted One” sometime soon. Maybe as soon as March 1, when Hardy’s WWE contract is reportedly up and not subject to any non-compete stipulations? It sure seems as likely as anything, given Hardy’s previous “goodbye” tweet on February 10, followed swiftly by Uno saying “you say goodbye, I say hello” less than 12 hours later, and a series of other vague references in Hardy’s ongoing “#FREETHEDELETE” series on Youtube.

Whether “Woken”, “Broken”, “Exalted” or some other form of Hardy will make a Dynamite debut, how soon, and with or without Jeff — another legendary wrestler who has been riding the pine for some time in the WWE locker room — remains to be seen, but it sure is fun to connect all the dots in the meantime. Maybe the real Exalted One was all the conspiracy theories along the way.
