Scott Steiner collapses at Impact Wrestling tapings

The industry veteran had a scary close call.

According to a report from Fightful, wrestling industry veteran Scott Steiner was rushed to the hospital last night following his sudden collapse backstage during Impact Wrestling’s tapings in Atlanta, Georgia. Steiner was onsite at the Coca Cola Roxxy to participate in a special TNA themed throwback episode of IMPACT. According to one source, the wrestler appeared to be fine throughout the day prior to collapsing.

Thankfully as of this morning Steiner is reportedly in stable condition. Impact Wrestling EVP Scott D’Amore tweeted saying, “For all concerned parties Scott Steiner is OK. His family is grateful for everybody’s concern and support.”

Tommy Dreamer also provided an update on Big Poppa Pump’s status, tweeting, “Im at the hospital right now w/ @ScottDAmore @JoeyRyanOnline. Scott Steiner is doing well And under great care. Say a prayer for Big Poppa Pump. Holla if ya hear me.”

PWInsider is reporting that a source informed them this morning that Steiner will undergo a heart procedure today. AIPT wishes Big Poppa Pump good luck on his procedure and we hope for a speedy recovery.
