AEW has released their rankings for the week of April 22, and the men’s ranking has a bit of predicament: the #1 contender isn’t allowed to challenge for the AEW World Championship.
Men’s Division

AEW
- Cody
- Chris Jericho
- Kenny Omega
- Jake Hager
- Lance Archer
After his loss to Jon Moxley on last week’s Dynamite, Jake Hager slides down to the #4 spot. The #1 spot has been claimed by Cody, but as a result of his loss to MJF back in November at Full Gear, The American Nightmare cannot challenge for the AEW World Championship. Does the title shot go to Chris Jericho, the next person in line (despite having an 0-1 singles record in 2020)? I guess we’ll just have to wait and find out.
Women’s Division

AEW
- Hikaru Shida
- Kris Statlander
- Yuka Sakazaki
- Britt Baker
- Riho
Shida is on a roll, winning eight of her last nine and boasting a division-best 7-1 record in 2020. Britt Baker has also been making a splash as of late, and has risen above inaugural AEW Women’s World Champion Riho to the #4 spot.
Tag Team Division

AEW
- Dark Order (Evil Uno and Stu Grayson)
- The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson)
- Best Friends (Trent and Chuck Taylor)
- SCU (Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky)
- Lucha Bros. (Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix)
The tag team division rankings remain unchanged from last week, with the Dark Order still the current #1 contenders.
