Watch: NOS4A2 season 2’s terrifying trailer

Charlie Manx is back to seek revenge on Vic McQueen.

After releasing a pair of agonizingly short teasers last month, AMC has finally released a proper trailer for its second season of NOS4A2. Based on the fantastic Joe Hill novel of the same name, this season will focus on an adult Vic McQueen attempting to protect her son Wayne from a resurrected (and extremely vengeful) Charlie Manx.

One of the big departures from the novel appears to be that Vic and Lou Carmody will still be together when Manx returns. This would alter a major component of the original story (which is one of my favorites), but I like it. Despite only being on screen for a short time, Jonathan Langdon gave us a great take on the character that I’d definitely like to see more of.

It appears that poor Maggie Leigh will suffer even more severe neurological effects from the use of her Scrabble tables along with at least one trip to Christmasland on the back of McQueen’s bike.

Speaking of Christmasland, it looks like we’ll be spending quite a bit more time there this season. Manx’s terrifying daughter Millie (Mattea Conforti) will also have a much larger role, both in the show and our collective nightmares.

Season 2 of NOS4A2 premieres June 21 on AMC.
