Lastly, Sony has partnered with Seagate to deliver a limited edition TLOU 2 2TB Game Drive featuring a laser etching of the game’s logo and Ellie’s tattoo. PS4 systems must have software version 4.50 or higher to utilize the drive, which has the capacity to install 50+ games (Based on an average storage requirement of 39GB for PS4 games published on or before June 2018). Retails for $89.99.
“When the opportunity arose to create a custom PS4 Pro for The Last of Us Part 2, I worked with our graphic designer at the time, Angel Garcia, and we considered a few different ideas, but we kept coming back to Ellie’s tattoo,” said John Sweeney, Art Director at Naughty Dog, in the announcement. “By that point, it had become a symbol of the game and for the community–much like the Firefly logo in the first game. It was the clear choice, but we wondered: what if it could be engraved? It hadn’t been done before, so we weren’t sure it was even possible, but thanks to the incredible efforts of the teams at PlayStation, we found a way.”
The Last of Us Part 2 is easily one of the most anticipated games for 2020 and arguably the most anticipated PS4 game that will release this year. The game was unfortunately the recent target of a large leak that included major plot details, cinematics, and other gameplay details.
