Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart announced for PS5

The beloved duo make their PS5 debut.

Today Sony Interactive Entertainment provided a first look at a number of new games coming to the PlayStation 5 during their PS5 reveal event. One of those games comes to us from one of the longest running PlayStation franchises, Insomniac Games’ Ratchet & Clank.

The newest entry in the series will be, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and it will launch on the next-gen PS5 as a sequel to the 2016’s Ratchet & Clank.

Sony acquired Insomniac Games in 2019. Check out the trailer below.

The teaser trailer follows Ratchet and Clank as they’re transported through multiple dimensions while on the run from a robotic army. As the iconic duo leap from dimension to dimension, each world loads instantly (thank you PS5 SSD) and we see a slew of different environments, including a futuristic city, cyperbunk metropolis, and lush jungle. There’s a variety of wacky weapons in use to fight off robots, aliens, dinosaurs, and more.

No launch date is available at this time.

Sony also announced Spider-Man: Miles Morales which arrives holiday 2020.
