‘Pokémon Snap’ is getting a sequel on Nintendo Switch

21 years after its release, Pokémon Snap is getting a sequel on the Nintendo Switch. The news was confirmed today via the official Pokemon Twitter account.

The game, dubbed New Pokémon Snap (for all the things Nintendo is great at, naming games isn’t one of them), is “an all-new adventure inspired by the classic Nintendo 64 game.” Pokémon Snap on the Nintendo 64 was a unique, on-rails “shooter”, but instead of shooting weapons, you were shooting photographs of Pokémon found in the wild.

No release date or any other details have been announced at this time. Keep an eye on the official New Pokémon Snap website for more information.
