FTR vs. SCU now set for tonight’s AEW Dynamite

COVID-19 concerns cause Tony Khan to reschedule.

All Elite Wrestling’s President and CEO Tony Khan has announced that the card for tonight’s episode of Dynamite on TNT has received a significant change.

The team of Dustin Rhodes and QT Marshall, aka The Natural Nightmares, will no longer face Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood of FTR in a tag team match. Instead, FTR will face off against Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian of SCU.

Tony Khan shared on his personal Twitter account that the change is due to the fact that QT Marshall had brief contact with a non-wrestling acquaintance who has since tested positive for COVID-19. Read his full statement below:

Since last week’s show, in his everyday life, QT had brief contact with a non-wrestling acquaintance who since tested positive for COVID-19. Rather than risk bringing QT to our test site, our doc asked him to stay home & take a COVID test back in GA to protect the rest of us here.

Neither SCU or FTR are ranked in the top five teams of the AEW tag team division, so tonight’s match is important for both teams on their journey to the AEW World Tag Team Championships. While SCU were the inaugural AEW World Tag Team Champions, they’ve since fallen quite a bit towards the bottom of the division. Meanwhile, FTR faces one of their biggest challenges yet in the form of one of AEW’s most established factions and tag teams.

You can watch the two teams compete tonight on Dynamite on TNT at 8pm ET.
