Multiple people within WWE have tested positive for COVID-19, including in-ring talent, according to a Pro Wrestling Sheet report.
This comes after last week’s news that a Performance Center trainee had tested positive. After that, WWE postponed their SmackDown taping that week, however the taping was quickly rescheduled that same week. The report says that more testing will now be done by WWE’s medical team before this week’s tapings to make sure the virus can be contained.
The state of Florida, where WWE (and AEW, for that matter) produces their weekly television shows, has seen a resurgence of COVID-19 cases since slowly reopening businesses and attempting to return to normal. Florida shattered their one-day record today, confirming 5,500 new cases in a single day.
As of this writing, WWE has not postponed any tapings or shows as a result.
