All Things All Elite: July 1, 2020

Catch up on all the All Elite Wrestling you’ve missed in the past week before ‘Fyter Fest’!

This week in All Elite-related social media, Sammy’s vlog is officially on hiatus now as he takes a break from social media. We had an interesting possibility presented on Being The Elite with Hangman and Brodie Lee. And Allie and Brandi might be starting to get along on AEW Dark?

We also got a ‘Road To’ video which we haven’t had in a long time which always has excellent promos.

Being The Elite

  • Kenny, the Bucks, Hangman, Cutler all sing the Chili’s “Baby Back Ribs” song
  • The Bucks inform Cutler he and Peter Avalon will tag against them
  • More teases for the upcoming action action figures
  • Cutler and Kenny are snorting energy workout supplement powder. They try to get Nick to have some but he reminds them he is “Christian AF”
  • John Silver and Alex Reynolds try to get Orange Cassidy to join the Dark Order. They fail spectacularly.
  • Private Party complains about the catering. Nick tells them that’s all there is, that he’s serious and “deadass”.
  • Hangman tells Brodie Lee he tried to join The Dark Order on the website a while ago but never heard back. He doesn’t really feel like joining now but just thought he would give a heads up. Brodie Lee is furious.
  • Broken Matt Hardy believes Harry Houdini is in Nick Jackson’s body, causing the two of them to have “merch freak” flashbacks.
  • John Silver and  Alex Reynolds interrupt Santana and Ortiz’s segment and try to recruit them to the Dark Order
  • Colt Cabana decides to not bother Kenny this week.

AEW Dark

  • Shawn Spears def. Max Caster
  • Lance Archer def. Pineapple Pete. Archer wins but Pete puts up a surprising fight. Archer wins, then starts a beatdown.
  • Joey Janela runs in with a leaf blower to stop him.
  • Scorpio Sky def. Brady Pierce
  • Ricky Starks def. Grift Garrison
  • Brandi Rhodes and Allie def. Kilynn King and Skyler Moore. Tensions are high but the match seemed to end with Brandi and Allie being at least somewhat cordial.
  • Butcher and Blade def. Fuego Del Sol and Lo Rider
  • Young Bucks def. Brandon Cutler and Peter Avalon

Road to Fyter Fest

  • Cody and Jack Hager promo
  • Shida and Penelope Ford promo
  • Best Friends and Hangman/Kenny promo (from last week’s Dynamite)

Twitter Happenings

  • Brandi has an interview about her AEW Dark match, and may be getting along with Allie..?
  • Shot of Brandi with guest Nyla Rose
  • Robert Anthony posted a promo which is nice to build some of the low card Dark talent as well for possible future pushes.
  • Matt Hardy hangs out with his kids. Not necessarily anything directly AEW related but Matt and his family are just the most delightful family so I had to post it.
  • MJF posted a fun dig at Jungle Boy.
