Marvel Comics has a new event coming this fall thanks to Tom Taylor and Iban Coello called “Dark Ages.” If you picked up the Free Comic Book Day X-Men comic at your local comic shop you’d know that since a portion of the book is devoted to starting the story. Tom Taylor shared the news on his Twitter account along with a panel from the book which involved Iron Man.
Little is known about the event series although Tom Taylor revealed on his Facebook account that it’s not in continuity. Similar to DC Comics DCeased it appears Tom Taylor gets to play around with the characters with no fear of messing up continuity. Hurray!
The series will also be colored by Brian Reber with letters by VCs Joe Sabino.
The Free Comic Book Day story does shed some light on what the story will likely encompass, at least in regards to electricity. If I was a betting man I’d wager the series will be about what happens when all electricity and power goes out on Earth. As you might guess Iron Man will be rendered useless quickly unless he can figure out how to get around the whole energy crisis.
