Joe Quesada’s (EVP, Creative Director of Marvel Entertainment) Marvel’s Storyboards online TV show kicks off today and the first guest is Hugh Jackman. The weekly show aims to “explores the origin stories and inspirations of storytellers of all mediums, backgrounds, and experiences at their favorite spots throughout New York City and beyond.”

In the episode, Quesada meets with Jackman to discuss his career starting as a 7-eleven stocker and revealed if he didn’t have a gap year before college he would likely be an accountant. Jackman also revealed he didn’t know a Wolverine was a real animal but instead thinking it was a wolf, and also revealed his wife thought he shouldn’t take the job. Along with the interview, the episode cuts to comic book panels of Wolverine as Jackman talks including art from Humberto Ramos.
Jackman also revealed Wolverine was interesting to him because he’s not a redeemable character. He also revealed he lost his falsetto for 7 or 8 years after playing the character.
