It feels like we’ve been waiting for New Mutants to come out for a decade, but alas it has only been two years past due. Originally shot in Boston, Massachusetts, from July to September 2017 the movie had an April 2018 release date in mind.
It appears the studio is holding true to the new release date is of August 28, 2020. At least, they were still saying this was the date at their Comic-Con@Home panel two weeks ago. To add more fuel to the fire that the film will be released at the new date, the official New Mutants Twitter account shared a new montage from the film featuring Magik.
