DC Comics unveils ‘Doom Metal’ info and art – out September 15

‘Doom Metal’ takes place in Justice League headed by Josh Williamson, Xermanico, and Robson Rocha.

Press Release

You may have heard of Dark Nights: Death Metal, but have you heard of Doom Metal? It’s a new story that ties into the Dark Nights: Death Metal running five issues in Justice League starting with issue #53. But what is Doom Metal? Wikipedia says:

Doom metal is an extreme subgenre of heavy metal music that typically uses slower tempos, low-tuned guitars and a much “thicker” or “heavier” sound than other heavy metal genres.

Radical! Written by Josh Williamson with art by Xermanico, Robson Rocha, and Daniel Henriques features a very off-brand Justice League lineup: Detective Chimp, Martian Manhunter, Hawkgirl, Nightwing, Cyborg, Starfire, and Lex Luthor.

Listen to the latest episode of our weekly comics podcast!

It all begins September 15th featuring the first appearance of Mindhunter–a new twist on Batman with the combined force of Martian Manhunter–and the first appearance of Omega Knight–a Frankenstein’s Monster version of the Omega Titans.
