AIPT Comics Podcast Episode 89: What to expect from Marvel Comics and DC Comics in December

Taking a look at the event and early solicitation news to determine what we’ll get in December stories.

This week, Dave and Forrest discuss the latest news trickling out of DC Comics and Marvel Comics as solicitations from both companies trickle in. What do the King in Black tie-in issues mean, what can we expect from DC’s Endless Winter, and more! Plus, in a special segment, we pitch for a comic book character who doesn’t have a solo series and who the creative team should be. What we choose might surprise you!

In the news, DC FanDome: Explore The Multiverse schedule was revealed and there are free comics too, with a Beast Boy panel featuring the creators which is part of their domestic tourDC Comics also revealed Represent! a digital-first series, the DC Generations event returns reimagined, and the Batman: Black and White series returns in December, too. Expect more Dark Multiverse stories coming in December, as well as the much anticipated Batman/Catwoman series coming December 1.

We also learned Brian Michael Bendis is off Superman come December, but the next big event, Endless Winter finally gets story details.

Over at Marvel, King in Black tie-in info came out Friday, King in Black is showing up in cover art, and Black Cat is being relaunched. Champions are also resolicited/relaunched in October. X-Men fans can finally know Children of the Atom gets a sale date! e also discuss the final Empyre State of Mynd and the many tidbits that came out of it, how IDW adds DC veteran Kobashigawa and promotes Hughes and Stotter, and finally a Little Bird prequel, Precious Metal was revealed.
