When it comes to Marvel Comics solicitations I’m typically looking for interesting new titles and great creator pairings. Say no more when it comes to the King in Black: Namor miniseries which is created by the same people who brought us the excellent The Autumnlands: Tooth & Claw. After interviewing Kurt Busiek and Ben Dewey about the series I was all the more interested. If you know anything about that series you’ll note their ability to craft an interesting and unique fantasy world is incredible.
Dewey will be joined by Jonas Scharf on art plus superstar artist Leinil Francis Yu will be doing covers. It’s a match made in heaven! I can prove it too, just read my Avengers of the Wastelands coverage, or buy the darn book, to see how good Scharf is on that work.
For more on the series read the two–yes two issues are out in December–solicitations below. You can read the entire December 2020 Marvel Comics solicitations here.
