Creepshow is one of Shudder’s greatest successes. The anthology series is the most watched show on the streaming horror network and is partially responsible for helping them get to one million subscribers. The show and its host the Creep are also perfect for the upcoming Halloween season.
This year, The Creepshow Halloween Special will be coming to the channel. The fully animated event will feature two stories based on the works of Stephen King and Joe Hill. Shudder has also announced that Kiefer Sutherland and Joey King will be joining the voice cast.
“Although season 2, now in production, has been delayed due to Covid, Greg (Nicotero – showrunner for Creepshow) and his team were still able to pull off this fantastic special so everyone will be able to enjoy a little bit of Creepshow during Halloween season,” said Craig Engler, Shudder’s General Manager.
“Halloween wouldn’t be complete without Creepshow, so with the help of the father and son team of Stephen & Joe as well as a fantastic animated format, we get to continue the tradition and spirit of Halloween,” said Nicotero.
The Creepshow Halloween Special premieres on Shudder on October 26.
