‘Godzilla Singular Point’ coming to Netflix in 2021

The King of Monsters wreaks more kaiju havoc in an all new anime series.

Godzilla Singular Point is the latest anime to appear on Netflix featuring the King of Monsters. In the past, the streaming service has experienced success with franchise animated films such as Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters, Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle and Godzilla: The Planet Eater. This time around, the popular kaiju will feature in a series.

The show will be an original story and contain a brand-new cast. It is from director, Atsushi Takahashi(Doraemon the Movie 2017: Great Adventure in the Antarctic Kachi Kochi) and is produced in partnership by animated studios bones (My Hero Academia) and Orange (Beastars, Land of the Lustrous). Godzilla Singular Point will incorporate both hand-drawn and computer-generated animation styles.

In addition to Takahashi, the creative team also includes composer, Kan Sawada, character designer, Kazue Kato, animator, Eiji Yamamori, and science-fiction writer, Toh Enjoe. The series marks Enjoe’s first time as an editor and writer for television.
