Over the past weekend, Diamond unveiled a couple preview images at New York Comic Con of their new Marvel Select Human Torch figure.
At first glance, this one’s definitely a mixed bag.
On one hand, I’m a total sucker for translucent plastic–especially when the figure in question comes with a base/effects that are translucent, as well. And even if you don’t like the Human Torch (booooo!), at least we know Diamond has a great/easy template to make a fantastic looking Ice Man.
On the other hand, what is going on with those hips? It can (arguably) work on some figures. But on a translucent one who whose base has him levitating mid-flight? Eh…
If you can get over that oddly sculpted pelvic region, then the Marvel Select Human Torch will go up for preorder October 23 from Diamond.
