Sony Interactive Entertainment has pulled Cyberpunk 2077 from their online stores, and is processing refunds for every customer who purchased the game digitally from Sony. In a statement on their website, SIE says:
SIE strives to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, therefore we will begin to offer a full refund for all gamers who have purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via PlayStation Store. SIE will also be removing Cyberpunk 2077 from PlayStation Store until further notice.
Once we have confirmed that you purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via PlayStation Store, we will begin processing your refund. Please note that completion of the refund may vary based on your payment method and financial institution.
Cyberpunk 2077 is riddled with bugs and game-breaking crashes, especially on previous generation consoles such as PS4 and Xbox One. The game’s developer, CD Projekt Red, apologized in a tweet for the poor quality of the game, saying “We should have paid more attention to making it play better on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One” and admitting they took “the wrong approach”.
If you purchased the game on PlayStation 4, visit Sony’s announcement to initiate your refund.
