Marvel Comics’ Editor in Chief C.B. Cebulski announced a new Deadpool series coming later this year and it’s the third in a new line of anthology comics! It’s none other than Deadpool: Black, White & Blood. There is of course the four-issue Wolverine: Black, White & Blood which just had its 3rd issue come out, and the forthcoming Carnage: Black, White & Blood series set for release in March.
The “Black, White & Blood” line of comics features multiple stories by different creative teams mostly focused on action and only allowed to use the color red.
The series was announced during the Deadpool: Nerdy Thirty virtual Livestream. Hosted by Ryan Penagos, the virtual stream showed off a cover for the first issue by Declan Shalvey.
Check it out below.
Along with this announcement, Cebulski answered a fan question and said a Wolverine and Deadpool book will be announced later in the year. Penagos also hinted at something Deadpool-related drawn by Ryan Stegman. Once again, no details were said beyond the tease.
The Deadpool Nerdy Thirty virtual event was an interesting one, speaking to creators who wrote and drew stories for the character over the decades. Those guests included Fabian Nicieza, Ed McGuinness, Joe Kelly, Gail Simone, Daniel Way, Gerry Duggan, Brian Posehn, Mike Hawthorne, and Rob Liefeld.
Penagos ended the stream saying the event will be available to view online soon.
