On Friday, independent toy maker Spero Studios launched a Kickstarter campaign to begin making 6″ scale figures for their popular (and awesome) Animal Warriors of the Kingdom toyline.
For those who aren’t familiar with these toys, the concept and characters were originally created by Jason Bievenu for a comic titled The Kingdom. Since then, Bievenu has turned the world he created into a series of incredible figures — including a 3.75″ scale wave that I passed on because I’m an idiot.
This new 6″ scale series will be designed by Bievenu along with Utama Prastha and sculpted by Arlen Pelletier and Fabiano Carlos. The figures will stand at approximately 6.5″ tall and feature the same outstanding articulation, detail, and accessory options that Spero Studios has quickly become known for.
Animal Warriors of the Kingdom: Primal will start off by featuring four main characters and two army builders, which are pictured below. Each one can be purchased separately with a pledge of $33 or bought in waves/sets for a discount. Many of the figures can swap heads, hands, and weapons with ease, allowing you to customize your anthropomorphic battalion.
There are also pledge tiers and add-on options that include the first issue of the Animals of the Warrior Kingdom comic. This is great for folks who want to know the lore surrounding these characters before you unleash them on your Marvel Legends and NECA Predators.

There will also be add-ons for additional heads/weapons and stretch goals featuring sweet looking figures like the one pictured below that unlocks at $120,000.
As of early Friday evening, the campaign had already reached $36,000 of its $99,000 funding goal with 34 days left to go.
