‘Black Widow’ final trailer gives best look yet at Taskmaster

Marvel’s most underrated villain finally gets his time to shine.

Marvel has released their final trailer (for real this time) for Black Widow. This one gives us a bit more background on Natasha Romanoff’s childhood along with our best look so far at its primary villains, Taskmaster.

Check out the trailer below.

Based on this trailer, it looks like we’ll definitely be taking the deep dive into Romanoff’s past that we’ve all been wanting to see. Although the film is set primarily before Infinity War, it would be really cool to get a glimpse of how she filled the red on her ledger before joining the Avengers.

Also, while it’s been extremely frustrating watching a movie’s release get repeatedly pushed back, seeing some great action sequences featuring one of Marvel Comics’ best and underrated characters should definitely help keep folks’ interest piqued.

Black Widow

Black Widow will (FINALLY) premiere on July 9 in theaters and be available to purchase for home streaming on Disney+. I don’t begrudge anyone who still isn’t comfortable going out in public by then, but my fully vaccinated self will definitely be buying a ticket and a large popcorn for this one.

Check out the full summer lineup from Disney here, including Shang-Chi set to release in September.
