It was way back in 2019 when we saw the first full trailer for Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Since then, the movie’s release has been pushed back repeatedly before settling on November 2021 release.
On Tuesday, Sony released a clip to help re-whet our appetites for the film…although it might also cause you to never want to eat marshmallows again. It starts with Paul Rudd in a grocery store encountering a miniature version of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, which is about the most pleasant/adorable scenario you could hope for.
Then things get weird.
Good lord.
Despite how cute it was, I still expected the Minipuft to turn on Rudd. But I was admittedly not prepared to see an army of them gleefully skewering and roasting each other under an open fire.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife premieres in U.S. cinemas on November 11, 2021. I’m planning to attend in person, but will not be sneaking any marshmallows into the theater.
