Marvel Legends: Iron Monger and Infinity War Captain America revealed

Hasbro reveals even more characters for their Infinity Saga deluxe subline, this time featuring Iron Monger’s long awaited release.

Another week, another round of Marvel Legends Infinity Saga reveals. This time we get brand new character a lot of folks have been asking for, along with one who was in dire need of an upgrade.

Obadiah Stane/Iron Monger

Iron Monger FINALLY makes his MCU debut and it’s a great one.

The Obadiah Stane figure’s facial portrait is superb; certainly better than the one poor Anthony Hopkins got for Odin.

But then you have the actual Iron Monger suit itself, which is all types of outstanding. I guess it shouldn’t be a surprise that figures this large can have such great articulation, but the way this thing looks in its action poses makes me want to buy it, and I’m not even a big Iron Man fan.

Unfortunately, the Iron Monger set is pretty expensive, retailing for $73.99. If you’ve got the cash, however, then it’s currently available for preorder with an expected arrival in September.

So it doesn’t look exactly like Chris Evans, but the facial portrait on this one is still miles better than the previous version. It also comes with the cool split shield this time, which I wasn’t a fan of in the movies, but still appreciate for the sake of accuracy.

Unfortunately, the bonus head sculpt made me grimace in a similar manner when I first saw it.

You can still recreate the famous Cap vs. Thanos scene from Infinity War, but it might be more fun to pose him sitting on the recently released Fearsome Flush from the Kenner Classics Ghosbusters toyline.

But I digress…if you want this figure, you’ll have to be willing to roll the dice on its status as a Walmart exclusive. If you don’t mind being in limbo about whether or not your purchase is accepted, then it’s currently/allegedly available for preorder (retailing for $26.49) with an expected arrival in September.
