Today, Marvel Comics has released a new teaser for the Sorcerer Supreme and it doesn’t look good for him as The Death of Doctor Strange is set to debut in September! Marvel Comics is very good at teasing upcoming comics. Just look at the Inferno teaser last week which lead to the huge news that Jonathan Hickman is kicking off a four-part series in September.
Doctor Strange hasn’t had a proper solo series since October 2, 2019. That series was by Mark Waid and
Jesus Saiz, so folks itching for more Doctor Strange should prick up their ears!
The teaser is simple enough, accompanied with text that reads:
MARVEL COMICS PRESENTS THE DEATH OF DOCTOR STRANGE!
The final saga of Marvel’s Sorcerer Supreme begins this September.
We’ve yet to find out who the writer or artist on the series will be, but judging by the graphic above it’s going to be dire for Doctor Strange. Considering we’re getting closer to Halloween one might assume the next Doctor Strange story arc will involve some creepy and spooky themes.
Stay tuned to AIPT as we get more information about this new story arc (or is it a series) next week.
