The now defunct Quibi short-form streaming service launched back in April of 2020. Amongst its initial original titles was the action series, Most Dangerous Game. The series was even one of our Channel Surfing TV picks when it premiered. Roku, who bought the rights to Quibi’s content library, has picked up the show for a second season.
Most Dangerous Game will continue its short-form episodes format and will film season two in New York City. Returning is Academy Award winning actor, Christoph Waltz, who will reprise his role as Miles Sellers. Sellers is the CEO of The Tiro Fund, which is a front for a centuries old game in which hunters pay exorbitant fees for the privilege of hunting the most cunning and dangerous prey there is.
The Umbrella Academy’s David Castañeda will play the upcoming season’s protagonist, Victor Suero. He is a down-on-his-luck fighter trying to protect his sister after learning she’s in trouble. Suero agrees to participate in Sellers’ contest. If he survives, he’ll make a fortune. His love for his sibling fuels his desire to live in the most dangerous game.
Co-creator, Nick Santoro, comes back to write and executive produce.
Watch the first season of Most Dangerous Game right now on Roku.
