2021 Emmys: ‘WandaVision’ and ‘Ted Lasso’ make their presence known

…and ‘Lovecraft Country’ got totally robbbed.

While this wasn’t quite the genre television lovefest of last year’s ceremony, the 2021 Emmys still managed to recognize many of our favorite programs.

For the second year in a row, Star Wars: The Mandalorian took home seven awards. It also shouldn’t surprise anyone that newcomers Ted Lasso (seven Emmys) and WandaVision (three Emmys) also did well.

Listen to the latest episode of the AIPT Television podcast!

What did surprise some folks (or me at least) was Lovecraft Country only winning in two categories…and that Jurnee Smollett didn’t win for Outstanding Lead Actress. At least Courtney B. Vance wasn’t robbed of the Outstanding Guest Actor award he deserved, though.

A list of our favorite winners from the 73rd Emmy awards is provided below. You can view the full list here.
