New Bloodborne comic series to debut on Free Comic Book Day

Journey to Yharnam once again.

Titans Comics has announced a new Bloodborne comic series will launch in May with the first issue releasing as part of Free Comic Book Day. Artist Piotr Kowalski returns to the series on art duties and with a cover depicting a hunter against a winter lantern, one of the toughest and most frustrating enemies from the game.

The official description of the comic reads:

Enter the city of Yharnam through the eyes of its citizens, when new hunters take to the streets to fight against the cruel and unusual epidemic that has gripped the city. In the black of night, families and faith will be tested… Based on the critically-acclaimed Bloodbourne video game!

You can check out Titan’s official announcement and the cover below. No word yet on how long the series will be, but each of the previous four arcs were four issues each, so one can assume this new run will be the same.

While I personally found some volumes stronger than others–the arc “A Song of Crows” about Eileen was my personal favorite–I think all four volumes are worth reading for fans, and I look forward to this next one.

But the Bloodborne comic isn’t the only new Bloodborne content we’re getting this year. The game has finally made its way to PC… in the form of a fan-made demake from developer Lilith Walther, which you can download for free. Walther recreated the opening hours of Bloodborne with the look of a PlayStation 1 game. It’s something fans can enjoy until we get that rumored remake or a much anticipated sequel.
