Rocksteady has pushed Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League to spring 2023, director Sefton Hill announced on twitter. Hill acknowledged the frustration fans will undoubtedly feel and said the needed time “is going into making the best game we can.” This announcement comes after Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier reported in February the game was “quietly delayed” to 2023 as a result of “production problems caused by the pandemic and other development challenges.”
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was originally revealed during DC’s first FanDome in 2020 alongside WB Montreal’s Gotham Knights. It was announced with a 2022 launch window, but, as with most new game announcements, that initial release window proved to be too optimistic. When it does hit store fronts, it’ll be Rocksteady’s first game in about eight years since Batman: Arkham Knight.
Fret not, however, for the rest of 2022 is loaded with highly anticipated releases. The aforementioned Gotham Knights is set to release October 25, 2022 and will certainly tide over DC fans until Suicide Squad drops in 2023.
