On the latest Top Chef, the competition embraced the southern side of its host city. Guest judge of the quickfire, Chef Chris Williams of Lucille’s, wanted the contestants to create their own biscuit from scratch and have it part of a complete dish. The winner would receive an advantage in the elimination.
The stakes were raised when it was announced there would be a double elimination. The chefs formed teams of two and had to create dishes that visually looked identical but tasted completely different. Known molecular gastronomist, Wylie Dufresne, served as the guest judge for the elimination and provided his own example of what he expected from the challenge.
