Frank Miller launching Frank Miller Presents publishing with Dan DiDio

Frank Miller Presents will launch new ‘Sin City’ comics and ‘Ronin’ comics too.

Comics writer and artist Frank Miller has revealed exclusively through THR that he is launching his own independent comics publishing company. Miller is one of the most widely known comics creators for his work on Sin City, 300, and of course Daredevil among many other properties. Sin City and 300 are properties originally published under Dark Horse Comics with a Sin City omnibus released late last year.

Miller will act as editor-in-chief while Dan DiDio will serve as publisher. DiDio was let go from DC Comics back in February 2020. At the time, DiDio was acting co-publisher for DC Comics with Jim Lee.

Miller is also president and will focus Frank Miller Presents on creating and curating a line of comics with a distinct visual style and a pledge to work with veterans and rising artists too.

“Investing in artists and the future of comics has always been my one true passion and creative calling,” Miller said in a statement. “Dan, Silenn and I couldn’t be more proud to be launching Frank Miller Presents, which will serve as fertile ground for storytellers and new creations. Our focus for this publishing company is to cultivate a fellowship of artists and writers to mentor, collaborate and push forward not only each other but the art form as well.”

Frank Miller Presents will launch with a new Sin City comic and a return to Ronin, Miller’s sci-fi samurai series. According to THR, this move to create a new indie publishing line has been in the works for months if not years. Comics from this imprint will launch later this year, with a Sin City western on the way set in 1858 along with Ronin Book Two which will be a six-issue miniseries. Other titles announced include Pandora and Ancient Enemies which have yet to have creative teams attached.
