If being a subscriber to Chip Zdarsky’s Substack wasn’t enough, Zdarsky revealed today the cover of Batman #126. The exclusive reveal shows Batman looking quite defeated as he lies in a puddle of blood. Above him, we can see Nightwing looking down on him and checking his pulse.
Would Chip Zdarsky kill Batman in his first story arc?!

Zdarsky and Jimenez are taking over the Batman series in July with Batman #125. That issue also has plenty of variant cover goodness which you can see here.
It’s still early yet, but from what we know Zdarsky and Jimenez’s Batman will kick off with a story called “Failsafe.”
Bruce Wayne is at a turning point, haunted by dreams of a dark future, while Gotham City billionaires are being gruesomely murdered. With the discovery of an archenemy’s involvement and a tragedy unfolding, the Dark Knight’s nightmares are just beginning. And in the backup story, there’s chaos in Gotham as the underworld fights over one of its crown jewels…and Selina Kyle is caught in the middle. Can she stop the bloodshed and maybe even make a little money in the process?
