We’re less than a month away now from the next season of Amazon Prime’s wildly popular superhero satire, The Boys. Ahead of season 3’s release, the official trailer has dropped, showing off the season’s direction. The trailer opens with Homelander going through a breakdown, Butcher swearing off his war on supes, and Hughie fighting Voght from the inside. However, it’s not long before this new status quo falls apart and the boys are forced back into the fray.
This season promises more heroes, more powers, and more mayhem as Butcher and his gang reinvigorate their war on supes. Also joining the cast this season are Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy and Laurie Holden as Crimson Countess. We get brief glimpses at both in this trailer, with a particularly “smashing” homage to the MCU’s murderous U.S. Agent by Ackles.

In case you missed it, Amazon has been releasing tie-in content leading up to this next season like the parody webseries Seven on 7 with Cameron Coleman. Amidst the humor all throughout are Easter eggs and references that are bound to be paid off in next month. Alongside this, the animated anthology, The Boys Presents: Diabolical, made for “a highly enjoyable appetizer.”
The Boys season 3 will drop its first 3 episodes on Prime Video June 3, with the rest of the season coming out each following Friday leading up to the season finale on July 8.
