Where we dropping? Fortnite‘s latest season officially kicks off today bringing new locations, new characters, new weapons, and much more. The previous season went out with a spectacular bang in the Collision live event that starred a giant mech battle. Now with the current season, simply called “Vibin’,” Fortnite seems to offer a much more chill experience comparatively.
The trailer features…Indiana Jones? And Darth Vader?! Fortnite continues its trend of blending as many popular IPs as possible into the multiversal game. I’m surprised George Lucas himself didn’t make an appearance here. Aside from the new characters, the trailer shows off some brand new locations like the amusement park complete with a ScrewBaller-coaster, as well as the trippy Reality Falls forested by giant mushrooms.
According to Epic Games, a new weapon class, the Designated Marksman RIfle, and new weapons have been added, the Hammer Assault Rifle and the Two-Shot Shotgun. Another added feature is the inclusion of wild wolves and boars that players can mount and attack from. As a result of the Reality Tree, a new mechanic of reality seed pods changes gameplay by allowing players to plant a seed that will grow in the same place across each game and award increasingly more valuable loot as time passes.
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 seems to be continuing the game’s commitment to keeping the gameplay fresh with these exciting additions. As of today, players can get this party started and spread the good vibes. Fortnite is available on all major consoles, PC and mobile. Watch the new trailer below.
