On Tuesday, Hasbro revealed a new 2-pack featuring Spider-Man villain Mr. Negative and one of his Inner Demon enforcers. If you’re wondering why Mr. Negative doesn’t look like his comics counterpart, that’s because the set is part of the Gamerverse subline. It will be available exclusively through GameStop.
First off, let’s talk about all those wonderful accessories. Multiple weapons and effects, Mr. Negative power effects, three different Inner Demon masks, and alternate Inner Demon hands. The only thing missing is an alternate Martin Li head for Mr. Negative. It’s a disappointing oversight, but nowhere near enough to keep this from being a great 2-pack.
The sculpt and paint on both figures are fantastic, especially the Inner Demon.
The set, which you can preorder now, will cost $49.99 with expected arrival in January 2023. Even though $25 per figure is too much, it’s much better than the $28 price point that’s typically attached to store exclusives.
Unfortunately, army building a squad of Inner Demons to back Mr. Negative up won’t be cheap. You’ll likely need to wait for people who only want the main character to sell the other one on eBay (and hopefully remember to keep all those great accessories). We can also hope that Hasbro Pulse decides to pack this figure as discounted army builder exclusive in the near future.
