‘Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire’ presents a seductive tale in new trailer

The new Interview with the Vampire trailer provides an advanced look at the upcoming series.

Interview with the Vampire is a popular gothic vampire novel that spawned a total of twelve sequels collectively known as The Vampire Chronicles. The first instalment was adapted into a film with the star power of Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt in the leads. Next month, it will be the source material for a television series with the same name.

Today, AMC released a new trailer for the show. At least visually, it looks stunning as a period piece with the costuming. You also get a sense of the naughtiness the Crescent City is known for and why it would be an ideal place for a vampire to live. Read the official synopsis followed by the video below.

A sensuous, contemporary reinvention of Anne Rice’s revolutionary gothic novel, Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire follows Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson), Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid) and Claudia’s (Bailey Bass) epic story of love, blood, and the perils of immortality, as told to journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian). Chafing at the limitations of life as a Black man in 1900s New Orleans, Louis finds it impossible to resist the rakish Lestat de Lioncourt’s offer of the ultimate escape: joining him as his vampire companion. But Louis’s intoxicating new powers come with a violent price, and the introduction of Lestat’s newest fledgling, the child vampire Claudia, soon sets them on a decades-long path of revenge and atonement.

Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire will debut on Sunday, October 2 at 10pm ET/9c on AMC with the first two episodes available on AMC+ that same night.
