On Saturday, toy reviewer/scooper rektangular (aka Todd Ortiz) was alerted by @wingorlose about an interesting find at a midwest-area Target. Even though the Hasbro Pulse exclusive Mojoworld 4-pack hasn’t shipped yet, you can apparently snag a single-packed Mojo for your collection at retail.
As you can see from the picture, this version of Mojo appears to have less paint/deco on the character’s body. Based on the obstructed receipt (and the store’s price tag), it will cost $41.99.
While this was undoubtedly a mistake made by an individual Target, it will still frustrate folks who paid $131.99 (plus taxes and shipping) specifically for that character.
Speaking of accidental Target releases, @sb_toyz was able to get us some out-of-package shots of Ironheart, whose Marvel Legends figure was leaked earlier this week. As expected, the windowless packaging did not do it justice.
By the way, it’s funny how Hasbro claims to be switching to windowless packaging for the good of the environment while including NFTs (which are terrible for the environment) with their absurdly overpriced Starting Line Up figures.
But I digress…
Ironheart’s portrait isn’t a great likeness of actress Dominique Thorne, but the figure looks great otherwise. In addition to some gorgeous paint and sculpting, it comes with a nice collection of cool weapons/accessories.
Let’s just hope it doesn’t mean the figure will carry a “deluxe” price point.
