Marvel Comics has slowly been teasing “Grootfall” and the upcoming relaunch of Guardians of the Galaxy. Set for release in April 2023, we’ve seen teasers for “Grootfall Approaches” and an image of a massive Groot seemingly burning up a planet. Late yesterday we also got a glimpse at the entire team outside of Groot.
The usual members are present, which include Star-Lord, Gamora, Mantis, Drax, and Nebula. The thing is, they each look quite different from their usual looks.

Hard to decern each look, but STar-Lord is going for a western vibe, Drax a barbarian vibe, and the rest…well, you be the judge. Most obviously missing is Groot, who we saw yesterday. If there were any repeating qualities, it might be knee pads. Star-Lord and Gamora both have them.
